In this episode, you’ll hear Adam talk about how our no commission real estate business model offers better value and a higher level of service than what you might expect from a commission-based real estate agency. As Adam explains, our real estate agents are salaried and paid bonuses based on performance (i.e. how well we serve our customers), rather than a commission based on sale price. And, contrary to perceived wisdom, incentivising agents with a commission on sale price doesn’t mean selling your property at a higher price; in fact, often it means rushing to close the sale.
Adam also discusses how transparency is one of our central beliefs here at Upside, which is exactly what our customers want. The technology we utilise not only allows us to give customers full visibility at every step of the process but it also helps us maintain a level of efficiency that enables us to keep our fixed fee low without compromising the level of service provided.
And, of course, we wouldn’t be the real estate agency we are today without focusing on authenticity in everything we do. As Adam puts it, “The thing that we've been working hard to do is to hire agents who are experienced and know how to get a result but are authentic, too. Because I think it's more important to be authentic these days than being slick.”
