Mortdale

NSW 2223

Mortdale is in St George, one of Sydney’s middle-class heartlands and relatively close to the city. There are good road links to the CBD along the Eastern Distributor, or avoid the roads entirely on a reasonably short train ride on the Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra Line, giving access to the CBD and Eastern Suburbs in the North, and Cronulla and the Illawarra region to the south. Property tends to be neighbourhoods of houses and medium density developments, with high-rise near stations and shopping centres. Expensive waterfronts (or water views) line the edges of Botany Bay and the Georges River. Proximity to the airport makes the area particularly popular with people who work there. Access to Botany Bay and the Georges River, masses of parks in the Georges River council area - including 18 with bike tracks - open up a myriad of family friendly recreational opportunities.
